Literature Text

Emotionless fears ravage the brain,
Relentlessly attacking, causing never-ending pain.
Fear of weakness, fear of death,
Feeling so unworthy that you fail the test.

Wallowing in doubt, in self-pity, depression,
No one but you knows the true heart's compression.
Dark clouds ensnare you, envelope, devour,
Surely you know this is your final hour?

Once trapped by man, escape is futile,
You cry out for help, yet no being for miles.
Hours, days, months and years,
Only then will you meet your true fears.

You call yourself mighty, you call yourself king,
But really you're just an unfathomable thing.
All you do is steal, lie and cheat,
You're an ungrateful little thief, and therefore unworthy.
Wrote this in my spare time in school.
